The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy hosts three annual fundraisers around the country:  Dallas & Houston, Texas; and Bethesda, Maryland. The Foundation also participates in and supports an annual fundraiser for the Volunteer USA Foundation in Naples, Florida.  These wonderfully entertaining evenings are hosted by the Bush family and feature readings by best-selling authors.  Please see the information below on each event and join us in support of literacy!


 Florida: The 2009 Florida Celebration of Reading will be held February 13, 2009. Venue and authors for the event will be announced soon.

Maryland : The 2009 Maryland Celebration of Reading will be held Monday May 11, 2009 at the Music Center at Strathmore. Authors for the event will be announced soon.

Dallas: The seventh annual Dallas Celebration of Reading will be held at the Meyerson Symphony Center on November 17, 2008. Authors for the evening will include Bill Burke, Ron Hall & Denver Moore, John Grogan and Immaculee Ilibagiza with more to come.
